Anderson Children's Foundation
Irene W. Anderson, who cared deeply for children yet had none of her own, established this foundation in 1970 in memory of her husband Guy L. Anderson. The purpose of the Anderson Children’s Foundation is to provide for unmet needs of children of every race, culture, and creed. Our goal is to nurture and inspire young people in areas including health, education, recreation, and the arts. We welcome your involvement in caring for children by applying for funding of worthy nonprofit programs.
AYSO Region 813 Indio
EPIC stands for Everyone Plays In Our Community. The mission of the AYSO EPIC Program is to provide athletes with disabilities the additional support they need to fully participate in a quality soccer experience. The ultimate goal of the AYSO EPIC Program is to provide a holistic AYSO experience for players, families, and volunteers from team uniforms to playing on a team to cheering from the sidelines for all participants.
Autism Society Inland Empire
Our Color the Spectrum Art Festival is a FREE family-friendly event for the Autism and special needs community to celebrate Autism Acceptance Month. The festival empowers and connects children and individuals within the Autism community through participation in the Arts. The festival highlights youth and young adult artists on the Autism Spectrum while providing a safe environment for displaying, selling, and promoting the art of Autistic individuals, including visual and fine artists, dancers, singers, etc.
Children's Playtime Productions
Through our 30 years of experience, we realize that a goal of virtually all young thespians is to land a “leading” role in a production. Although all characters in any one production are critical to the entertainment value of that show, by nature there are a limited number of main character roles to go around. For this SoMPO project, we are taking advantage of available smaller production genres (One Act Plays, Mini Musicals, and Staged Broadway Showtune Reviews) to give more valley youth the chance to “star” in their own small production.
Coachella Valley Youth Golf Foundation
We are also expanding into the East Coachella Valley with our new modular classroom at The Lights at Indio, which is set to open over the summer. This classroom/office will enable us to expand programming in Indio and transport East Valley kids to a green grass facility more easily and efficiently. Funds from the Anderson Children’s Foundation continue to support First Tee – Coachella Valley’s in-school and after-school golf programs across the valley.
Greater Palm Springs Tourism Foundation
The Greater Palm Springs Tourism Foundation's "Passport to Leadership" program is an immersive 6-week program designed to cultivate future leaders within the Coachella Valley's vital hospitality and tourism industry, which drives our regional economy and supports one in four jobs. This program introduces rising high school seniors from all Coachella Valley school districts to diverse career pathways through presentations by industry leaders, dynamic workshops, and behind-the-scenes tours of hospitality and tourism venues.
Palm Springs Art Museum
Palm Springs Art Museum’s Youth Impact Initiative is a bold commitment to making the museum a vital part of life for young people in the Coachella Valley. It connects children, teens, and young adults to meaningful arts programming at every stage of their development.
ACF accepts grant proposals from February 1 to April 30 each year.
Nonprofit organizations serving children and youth in the Coachella Valley of California may apply for funding.
Projects are funded for a single year from July 1 to June 30. Programs may reapply annually.
