The Joy of Reading - Here There Everywhere for Everyone (2026-2027)

This grant program will expand from serving first-grade students at Cahuilla Elementary to serving the entire school. Through the expansion of the program, we will be able to place high-quality books directly into the hands of disadvantaged students, increasing access to literacy materials both at school and at home. Grant funds will also allow us to expand a collection of books focused on social-emotional learning (SEL) and diversity, helping students develop empathy, self-awareness, and an appreciation for different cultures and experiences. By expanding access to meaningful and inclusive literature, the program will continue to positively impact students across our entire school community and support both academic and social-emotional growth through resources that would otherwise be limited.
