Expanding Athletic Equipment to CV Youth (2026-2027)
With generous support from the Anderson Children's Foundation, Category 5 Excellence will purchase a complete set of professional-grade athletic training equipment — including eight squat racks with attachments, eight plyometric boxes, eight trap bars, eight barbells, and eight power rack jammers — to expand its capacity to serve boys and girls ages 5 to 18 from across the Coachella Valley, with particular reach into the underserved communities of the East Valley. This equipment, configured in sets of eight to enable simultaneous group training, will allow C5 to more than double its current capacity and serve 200 or more youth annually. Every child who trains at C5 participates in a holistic program that combines professional athletic development with weekly academic accountability, mentorship, and life skills coaching.
